In what directory are user VMs stored in the Msg Store in Unity 5.0?

Hello, I have a Unity 5.0 that is voicemail only with the message store being offbox. I'm trying to figure out in what directory within the message store are the voicemail msgs stored and wouldn't it be .wave file.

They're stored on Exchange in the individual mailboxes (inbox). If you need to access them, you will need to either do it via phone, or you can use Outlook Web Access for the user(s) you're concerned with. The voice mails are stored basically as an e-mail with a .wav file attachment.

As an add-on to Brad's post, if you just want to look at where a user's inbox is located in Exchange and do not need to inspect every message, there are tools available on the Unity server for you to look at these for yourself - Active Directory Users and Computers and Exchange System Manager. Log onto Unity server with the Unity administrator account or Unity Install account depending on how you configured Unity during install. The logon account must be a Domain Admin and be in the Local Administrators group on the server plus have local logon privileges. From the Unity server, go to Start - Programs - Microsoft Exchange - Active Directory Users and Computers. Click on the domain in the console and search for the user's alias. Double-click the user to open the properties of the account. Select the Exchange General tab - this shows the location in Exchange of the user's mailbox. Once you have this information, close this console. Repeat Start - Programs - Microsoft Exchange - this time select System Manager. Expand Administrative Groups and select the one which holds the Exchange server - by default look for First Administative Group, but yours may be different depending on your organization's AD infrastructure design. Expand the Servers folder. Expand the selected Exchange server and then expand the Storage Group - default is First Storage Group. Expand the Mailbox Store, followed by the Mailboxes folder. From there you can review the inboxes in alphabetical order and look at the number of messages in the voicemail only user's mailbox. This can be a good first troubleshooting tool.
