Does anybody know a better way of recording prompts then creating the prompt in IPCC, dialing the number and speeking the prompt, I would like to us a professional recording software but I can't find any nor can I find a codec for windows sound recorder.

You can use Unity to leave a message, i.e. prompt and then save the file to whatever you want and then upload to IPCC.

You don't need a seperate codec, just the right format wav. Use sound recorder. When you select save, click on the Format... Change Button.
In the Format Drop down select CCITT u-Law
In the Attributes drop down select 8kHz, 8-bit, Mono 7 kb/sec.
Save file. This is the only format IPCC works with
