Is it Long Distance?

Does anyone know of a website where you can figure out if a call will be LD or not? We are having issues with TEHO in that some local area codes have long distances parts in them, so we have to put in those patterns manually. I was wodnering if there was a website to be more proactive so I could determine from a specific number to a specifc area code and office code if they will require a "1".

Many of the carriers post this information online. There is not a universal website to check as this varies from carrier to carrier and state to state. (I.E. The ILEC may have a different LCA than a CLEC in the same area.) Some states have additional "thresholds" such as an Extended Call Area that has a different rate than IntraLATA calls. I have even seen this vary from the same carrier depending what services the customer subscribes to. In short: if you're designing a dial plan, you should get an official list from the carrier that reflects what the billing system will rate calls at.

This is a function of your local provider. They should be able to give you a list of area codes and exchanges that are local.
