Lose VMO on forwarded mails

Hi, running Unity 4.2.1 with exchange.

Some of our users have access to group email boxes but have no mailbox of their own.

If they open an email they can play it through the phone with VMO, however if they then forward the email to another Unity subscriber it only comes through as a WAV file but no VMO.

If I forward mails from my account to another Subscriber it retains the VMO form.

Does anyone know why the user without their own Unity account is losing the VMO when they forward the email ?

Slight confussion on the terminology being used here.

So you have a Voicemail Only setup correct? (VMO)

Are your non unity subscribers logging into the TUI or using Outlook to forward the messages?

Here is an example, maybe it is similar to what you are doing:

Group voicemail box is routed to a Public mail enabled folder. You have a couple Unity subscribers that forward the message and couple non unity subscribers forward the message to non unity subscriber and or a unity subscriber.

The non unity subscribers are probably not hearing the "message sent, at 1:00pm from 555.555.5555" correct? They just hear the WAV file recorded correct? (no time and date stamp)

Unity subscribers hear the time and date stamp + wav file vm.

correct?

This is Unified messaging with VMO, we do not use the TUI AT ALL ! (All users are locked out of it).

They use Outlook to forward the message.

Group Voice mail is a normal mailbox that a number of users have on their Outlook account.

If they play a message via VMO and it is for a colleague they then forward it to them.

If the person forwarding the message does not have their own Unity account it loses the VMO properties and the Person who recieves it only gets the WAV file.

The person recieving the message does have their own Unity account.

The non useras without Unity accounts are enabled to use VMO via "Grantunityaccess".

Hope this helps clarify things
