MediaSense Nodes do not Replicate / Sync

Hello all,

I have 2 MediaSense (ver. 8.5) nodes:

10.0.2.7 - Primary

10.0.2.13 - Secondary/Extension

Recently I found out that recordings in 1 node does not appear in another node.

I logged into the secondary node and run the following command:

run db_synchronization status db_ora_meta

and the result is:

Replication is currently not active.

The requested operation will not be performed.

Executed command unsuccessfully

How do I enable replication of the recordings between the two servers?

Furthermore, in which database is the recordings stored? According to Cisco documentations, db_ora_meta stores the metadata of the recordings.

MediaSense Nodes do not Replicate / Sync

I resolved this myself in the end.

Just a reference for people who are having similar issues:

SSH into Secondary MediaSense Server

Issue commands:

run_db_reset_replication

run db_synchronization db_ora_meta (not needed if the previous command is already issued)

run db_synchronization db_ora_config

To monitor status,

show db_synchronization status db_ora_meta | db_ora_config

replcheck_status:

D = Defined

R = Running

C = Completed

F = Completed, but inconsistent

W = Pending complete
