MeetingPlace Express with LDAP/Active Directory but w/o Callmanager
I'm looking into the option to deploy Cisco MeetingPlace Express.
Right now we are not using any Cisco Unified Communications products, especially not the Callmanager.
Therefore we would like to use MeetingPlace as a standalone product.
But at the same time we already have a ID-Management system in place, where we would like to hook-up MeetingPlace to, for user authentication.
Now my question: Do I really need Callmanager if I want to use the directory integration functionaliyt of MeetingPlace?
According to the manual, MeetingPlace will use Callmanager's directory to authenticate users. But Callmanager's directory is basically a plain MS Active Directory with schema updates. Therefore it schould be enough to set up an Active Directory (maybee even in Application Mode - ADAM) with the Callmanager schema updates and supply this to MeetingPlace.
We would then feed the AD(AM) from our IDM-sytem.
Could this work?
Having a demo installation of MeetingPlace to give it a try would probably be the best solution. But as I don't have access to one, I would really appreciate if someone could give me some hint's if this might work.
