Meetingplace does not send notifications to external (e.g.yahoo or gmail) IDs when scheduling through the web. Notifications are sent to internal exchange users.
Notification to external accounts work fine when scheduling meetings through Outlook.

just so if anyone else has the same problem...
I had my guest profile set to not receive notifications. When that was changed to yes, it works fine now.
