Migrating Presence 8.0 to VM

I've built a new VM Presence server using the template. It has the same version as our existing physical Presence server. I perform a backup on the physical server, but I am unable to restore to the VM server. The name and ip address are different on the VM server. Is there any way to restore to the VM server without changing its name and ip address? Would a better option be to make a cluster with both servers, make the VM server publisher, then remove the physical server? I'm trying not to change the ip address of the VM server so I don't have to get another license file.

No, and that's expected to fail as it is. It's mandatory to have the same IP, hostname and version when restoring.

Getting a rehosted license is no big deal, just send the license file you're using to licensing@cisco.com and let them know you'd like to rehost from MAC A to MAC B.
