MOH on conference call issue

CCM4.1(3)

The service parameter "Suppress MOH to Conference Bridge* " set to default "True", when Valid values specify True (the system does not play MOH to the conference when a conference participant presses the Hold button), this only applies to callmanager-hosted conference, but when user hold the phone on a third party conference bridge, still can hear the music in the conference, any chance we can disable the MOH when user calling into a third party conference bridge meeting?

Thanks,

Unfortunately the CCM has no way of knowing that it is streaming MoH to a third party conf bridge so the answer is no. This is a user training issue that is quite common. If your users want to stay in the third party conference they should use mute rather than hold - of course this won't work if they have a second incoming call that they pick up. I have had clients ask to create "dead air" for MoH. You can do this by setting up a multicast MoH source without enabling multicast in the network, but then you have the other problems related to outside callers in a normal call thinking they have been dropped when they are put on hold.
