Msg reverbing. playback and record

UM 404sr1, Exchange2003, serial integration, Intecom switch.

Lately messages are playing back and getting recorded with reverberation or stuttering periodically and frequently. Sometime ago I was told this is due to CPU spiking. I have monitoring using perfmon for CPU usage and have not been able to locate a specific process that is obvious. The Notifier seems to coincide but, it seems to be normal behaviour.

As I was monitoring the ports, I saw to outgoing ports go from idle to dialing the same number to idle several (10 times, one after the other within seconds. The error logs are showing MIU errors, Event 569, Cisco Unity Telephony component has encountered a serious error.

Any ideas?
