MWI problem of Unity integrated with PBX

Recently, I installed Unity and integrate with PBX Mitel SX2000. When I tried to leave a message to a subscriber, I found that the Unity sent out 4 MWI-On to the subscriber. When I retrieved message from VoiceMail, Unity sent out MWI-Off 4 times again. Since It sent MWI call every 7 seconds, it took 21 seconds to complete whole MWI operation. Is it normal behaviour?

Is there any setting to change it send only 1 or 2 time? Our Unity Version is 4.2(1). Thanks!

Check the switch ini file for your integration (i think it is mitel0004.ini). In the MWI section there should be a parameter for RetryCount. If it is set to 3, then that'd explain the behavior. You can try dropping this down as low as 0. Unity needs to be restarted to pick up any changes to the switch file.

I checked the ini file and found the setting is exactly what you said. I will change it to "1" to shorten the MWI operation. Thanks for your help!
