As the error states, Unity is not able to authenticate with AD. Check App Log for errors related to AD connection failure. Also, DCGC Reconnect tool can be used to check if connectivity between Unity and AD is working fine or not. And since this issue has started occuring after the upgrade, it could be possible that all the directory service are not using Directory Service account as logon as.
If none of this works, then can u give more details as to if anything was changed during the upgrade, what patches were installed on the box ??
