Has anyone run a PIMG on DC power -- ie without the power brick? I'm going to be putting a few into a space that is all DC & the telephone company is not particularly keen on installing inverters.
it will be remote from the Unity servers, so the only other equipment is a router/switch, which is running DC power supplies.

Probably need to have a small APC unit that will convert the brick from ac to dc. I don't think Intel (who manufactors the pimgs) has DC bricks.

they would rather install an inverter than use a UPS to do the inverting -- why maintain another set of batteries when the whole building is run on batteries ;) so that was the decision, they're going to install an inverter that will run the PIMGs.
