Port Count Question

(Having trouble posting this morning - my apologies if this is duplicated)

We are *licensed* for 32 ports - we have Unity 4.1, and our Avaya S8700 is integrated via a QSIG link to Call Manager 4.1.3 SP1. As such, Unity is only aware of the Call Manager.

My question has to do with the QSIG link. We feel we should only have 23 ports available because of the T-1 channel limitations.

Is this thinking correct? If not, would anyone care to speculate what would happen if we configured a 24th-32nd port?

Thank you,

Re: Port Count Question

If you only have one QSIG trunk between Avaya and CCM, and Unity is integrated with CCM, then the 24th call from Avaya phone to a voicemail will simply fail because there are not enough trunks. You can still configure the integration on Unity to include all 32 ports but there will be useless to the Avaya users. You can use them for CallManager.
