I am setting up Presence 7.0(7) with UCM 7.1(3) for a customer who is not using LDAP integration with the UCM end users. The user names in UCM are the user's extension, but the first name, last name, and telephone number fields in the UCM end user accounts DO match the fields in Active Directory. If I change the username in UCM to match the AD username, I can see the presence information. Is there a way to change the LDAP field mapping in CUPS so that it looks for the telephone number field in AD and maps it to the username in UCM so that I don't have to change my user names in UCM? I have a lot of UCCX agents and I think chaning the user names in UCM would require a lot of changes on UCCX.

You may go to CUPS > Application > Cisco Unified Personal Communicator > Settings. Change the filed "UserID = sAMAccountName" to "telephoneNumber" or "ipPhone" (whichever that contains the extension number).
