CUP: 8.5.1.10000-35
CUPC client 8.5.4 installed on Windows XP and Windows 7
I have noticed after installing CUPC 8.5.4 on a few computers that when a user logs into the client I get the below RTMT alerts from the presence server. I do not notice any issues with functionality of the client. I have dug through the logs, but nothing stood out as to what is causing the flood of messages. Is anyone else seeing this or have a suggestion on how to avoid these alerts.
At Fri Dec 02 09:56:34 EST 2011 on node presence, the following SyslogSeverityMatchFound events generated:
SeverityMatch : Alert
MatchedEvent : Dec 2 09:56:11 presence syslog 1 nbslogpd[12639]: 18 messages were dropped
AppID : Cisco Syslog Agent

NodeID : presence

Hi Sean,
This is a known cosmetic defect

You should not worry about the alerts.

I am running CUPS 8.6.3 and am seeing these messages today. In looking at the bug, it is indicated as fixed in 8.6(0.97000.45). Is it fixed or is it still an issue?

I had the same issue on my system when I had UP XCP router traces set to debug. I changed back to the default info setting to resolve. Check your alarm and traces settings to verify default settings are enabled.
