Using 4.0(4) SR1. Trying to consolidate and at the same time create a consistent convention for users. In AD, new users are being created from FullName aliases to Extension aliases. There are over 2000 users that would have to be contacted and asked to modify and or rerecord their Greetings, etc., if we were to recreate those users. I would like to not have to do that. I would like to modify Exchange aliases in the UnityDb to go to newly created AD accounts. Is this possible? Or, is there another way of doing this in Unity 4.0(4) SR1
Re: Re-associate Unity Subscribers to new AD aliases
I believe you can rename the alias in AD and via replication, Unity will reflect the change in its database. We occasionally do this for name changes due to marriage etc. and we do not have to touch the Unity user. You might test that on one account.
