Restoring Unity - Disaster Recovery Scenario

Hi all,

I've been thinking about how to recover a unity server in a disaster recovery scenario...

At a high level I would:

- Rebuild the server via the normal installation process

- Restore from tape the Exchange Message store

- Restore from tape backup the SQL Data Store

I'm thinking I might also have to restore the system state as well but I'm not certain on that one.

Can anyone advise on the appropriate steps?

TIA!

Re: Restoring Unity - Disaster Recovery Scenario

Hi,

The supported method is covered in the Reconfiguration and Upgrade Guide: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity/42/upgrade/guide/ex/ru_130.html#wp1040765

DiRT should be included in the Cisco Unity Tools Depot under Administrative Tools, but can also be downloaded from here: http://www.ciscounitytools.com/App_DisasterRecoveryTools.htm

These instructions should get you where you need to go.

I hope this helps.
