Restrict Users from sending Networked Messages

Hi, Is there a way to restrict a user from sending a message on the same system, or to other systems? I see where to restrict them from bulletins, but can't find anything about just general send, reply, forward. Thanks.

Currently there's no way to force a limited scope for subscriber's addressing messages to other subscribers on the same system. Unity 4.3 (no published release date yet) is speced to have such a feature by allowing you to assign a subscriber to a name lookup handler scope (using the same name lookup handler scope mechanism that's been in since 3.1(x)) - this will allow administrators to determin which subscribers a given user can address messages to.

Hi, thanks for that first answer. What about restricting subscribers from sending to other systems? Thanks.

The search scope limit can be set for the system on the primary location object in the SA - on the Addressing Options page you can dictate that searches for subscribers when addressing messages are limited to the local box only, to the dialing domain or allow global searches. By default things are limited to the local server so out of the box users are not going to be able to address messages to remote Unity users in the same network on another server unless you configure it to do so.
