Hi All,
Wondering if anyone out there is running CUPC 8.5.5 (or a similar version) in a MS terminal services / remote desktop services environment? Don’t need voice or video, just presence, IM and control of user’s desk phone. I guess from the release notes (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/voice_ip_comm/cupc/8_5/english/release/notes/cupc85.html) it’s not supported (certain virtual desktop environments are supported but no mention of remote desktop / terminal services / Citrix).
Anyone know if it is on the roadmap or will ever be supported? Seems a lot of business would be lost here to MS Lync which does support this type of deployment.
Thanks,
Jonathan

As you mention it's not currently supported, only environments mentioned in the RNs are supported.
Information like products roadmap cannot be discussed here, you need to direct those to your Account Team.

Hi Jonathan
As both yourself and Java point out, it's not supported.
However, it does work. I have 8.5(5) running on a MS Terminal Server (running Windows Server 2003). I only have this running for a single user at a time and have never tested multiple users running concurrently. IM, Presence and Deskphone control work fine - as does switching to softphone mode - however for obvious reasons, the audio in softphone mode doesn't work.
Obviously you need to be careful about running unsupported configurations in production environments.
