We have subscribed for a SIP Trunk to PSTN (service provider) .

The range is 38499300 -38499599 , so the DIDs are 9300 - 9599.

So the Internal Extensions are to be 9300 - 9599 , starts with '9" ,

i can not use 9 for secondary dialtone. which is the best replacement

or solution for this ? Can i use # , * etc to get outside dial ?

2 solutions:

Translate the DID to different internal extension.
Or use another digit for off net access code.

Thanx Chris ,  Can you confirm if i can use symbols like " # " or " * "  instead of 9  to avoid translations ?
