I need to find a way to send external calls to voicemail greeting for subscriber and internal calls directly to the subscriber.

If you're running Callmanager, here's one way to do it.

1. Follow the steps in the following link to create a CTI route point that routes calls to a voicemail box by dialing * and the user's extension.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_tech_note09186a00800dea82.shtml

2. Use a translation pattern to translate incoming calls such as:

Translation pattern - 123555XXXX

Called party transform mask - *XXXX

This would translate the number 1235551234 to *1234 and forward the call to the user's voicemail box assuming step 1 is in place.

In this case, calls to a 4 digit extension internally would never hit the translation pattern, but external calls would.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

None of these users have DID numbers. This would be for calls that went to a call handler in Unity and the caller selected the user out of the directory handler.

If that's the case you can just turn transfers off for subscribers and all calls will go to their greeting instead of ringing their phone. This can be done on a per user basis in the SA on the transfer page (select to not ring the phone - send caller directly to greeting) or you can do this for large groups of subscribers or everyone by using BulkEdit which you'll find in the ToolsDepot on your desktop.

Is there a way to do this based on the time of day?
