Setup options

Under Setup options for a subscriber after login, in transfer settings We have a customer that wishes to get rid of the 'to transfer callers to an extension...' Can we change this to a blank, or rerecord a new msg, if so how can we and where is the change made ?

Editing prompts is, of course, not TAC or BU supported - but that said, you can find the prompt you want by searching the PROMPT.INI files found under the commserver\localize\prompts\ENU\G711\xxx folders - I believe you'll find the guy you're looking for in the AvSubSetupMenu folder.

Remember, you cannot just delete prompts, this will cause the conversation to bomb out - but you can edit it or replace it with a blank prompt if you don't wish it to play. Keep in mind the menu is still there and the key option will still react to that input ID even if you aren't voicing it, of course, so folks that know its there can still use it.

Thanks for the info Jeff, we have explained the support situation to the customer. Are there any blank prompts on the system that we can replace it with ?

sure - lots of them - just look for any prompts around 1Kb or under - these are "pure silence" prompts - you'll find several of them.
