SNMP agent on Unity

Is SNMP agent supported for Unity?

Re: SNMP agent on Unity

There are 3rd party monitoring packages such as HP Openview and NetIQ that have been qualified with Unity and provide Unity monitoring packages for their products...

Unity does not have a generic free SNMP agenet exension that comes with it if that's what you're asking. We are working on providing a MIB, extension agent, support for CDP and a few other system monitoring items for the Unity 4.0(4) time frame - ideally we'll make this an installable package that can run on Unity 3.1(5) and later that you can get off www.CiscoUnityTools.com - however at the moment it's still in development.

I saw the Remote Serviceability Kit for Unity 4.0 but will this ever be available for Unity 3.1?

No, 4.0(2) is as far back as it will go - the interfaces used to gather the counters and port info are different in prior versions and it'd require a lot of work to retool it to work with older versions. Sorry about that.
