Some Voice Mails not going to mailbox

Does anyone know why some voice mails (internal and external) are not making it to some user's mailboxes? The greeting is heard and a message is left after the tone. The phone has missed calls - the message just does not make it. Yet some do. Unity 4.0 Build 4.0(5) and CallManger 4.1.

Do you know the specific ports that are having an issue, if yes, check UTIM (Unity Tools Depot---> Integration Tools ---> Telephone Integration manager) to verify if the ports are configured the same.

That's going to be impossible to answer with the info here - you really need to call TAC to help run down problems like this since it's likely going to be beyond the scope of what we can offer in the way of help on a public forum like this. They're going to need to trace messages in Exchange (assuming this is an Exchange based system) and look in the undelivered mail folder, look at the event log for errors etc...

OK, Thankyou.

Hi Patty,

This question comes up from time to time with our users as well :) Have you actually experienced this issue? There is no correlation between the "Missed Calls" display and the number of Voicemail messages. For example;

17 people call Extn. 7000

7 people Hangup when they receive the Voicemail greeting

10 people actually leave messages

Missed Calls shows 17

Voicemail messages are really only 10

You may have a hard time verifying this, try using the Subscriber>Message activity report.

Hope this helps!

Rob

Thanks for your reply. I understand the difference between the missed calls versus the actual messages left. I have physically gone to the location and tested the calls.
