Hi,

I am facing issues with PSTN calls through analog lines which are connected to FXO ports. It's giving me static noise. I have connected the analog line to a telephone directly and checked but there is no noise. The voice gateway used is Cisco 2901 voice bundle.

The configuration on the voice port is as below.

voice-port 0/1/0
supervisory disconnect dualtone mid-call
supervisory custom-cptone 1
echo-cancel coverage 64
no comfort-noise
cptone C1
timeouts interdigit 2
timeouts call-disconnect 1
timeouts wait-release 1
timing hookflash-out 50
connection plar opx 250
description Analog-Line-1
caller-id enable

Dial peer configuration is as below.

dial-peer voice 7 pots
destination-pattern 1#.T
port 0/1/0
!
dial-peer voice 5 voip
translation-profile incoming Profile-1
answer-address ^24202420$
destination-pattern ^250$
session target ipv4:192.168.17.11
voice-class h323 1
dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric
codec g711ulaw
no vad

The software version running is C2900 Software (C2900-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.5(1)T2, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 15.0(1r)M16, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Can anyone please tell me what might be the issue.

Thanks & Regards,

Ajin Skariah.

There was a know bug about static in FXO what is your router type

Static noise is introduced on the FXO lines after IOS upgrade - Observed this issue in the below IOS versions

15.5(3)M train is affecte

Apologize I really dislike the way the new support forums don't show the conversation before your reply.  Version 15.5(1)T does not show as a fixed release. I would go and upgrade to a release that is and see if it helps.
