Odd problem ... I have a subscriber that can't log into their mailbox until someone leaves them a message. Once a message if left they can log in no problem. After they listen to the message and exit, they try to log back in but it fails. I do not see any message in the Event Viewer.
Yes - that is pretty unusual. I've heard of a mailbox not getting created by Exchange until a message arrives for them but nothing like this. So when the user logs in what do they hear? I guess I need to know exactly what "fails" means here - if they're getting failsafe (i.e. "I'm sorry I can't talk to you now...") then there must be at least one error record in the application event log.
Once a message is left for the subscriber they can log in and all seems quite normal. After they listen to the message and hang up they cannot log back in again ... until another message is left. TAC was quite stumped - we ended up asking the end-customer to reload the Unity server. Waiting on feedback.
