Hi,
I am currently in the process of building a CUOM on windows 2003 enterprise HP DL360G5 server, with specs
2 x Quad-Core Intel® Xeon® Processor E5450
8 GB Ram
32-bit windows can only properly address maximum 4gb of memory, which also happens to be the recommended amount for operations manager.
My question is, will CUOM run on a 64-bit install on win2k3? And will it have any additional benefits running on 64-bit?
I am not sure if this has any relevance but this article about SNMP Polling references a 64-bit counter vs a 32b-bit counter but i am not sure if this has anything to do with the OS.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_ip_communications_operations_manager/1.0/user/guide/SNMPInfo.html#wp1022214
If any one has any advice on this issue it would be much appreciated.
Matt
