Terminating calls thru FXO

Guys,

I am failry new to Cisco CallManager. I have Cisco Callmanager 4.1 with 10 7960/7970 phones. I have a 2600 voice gateway with FXO and FXS ports on it. I have a normal phone line which I have connected to the FXO port and analog phones connected to FXS. Gateway is registered with Callmanager, I am able to call the analog phones from the IP phones but not the otherway round. I have a dial-peer on the voice gateway pointing to the Cisco Callmanager for analog phones to call IP Phones, but the calls are not terminated. I also want both the IP and analog phones to be able to call outside via the FXO. Can you please let me know how to accomplish this?

Many thanks for your help

One thing to check is the codec being used. The default for voip dial peers is g.729. If CCM is expecting g.711 and there is no transcoder, the call will fail. You could try adding "codec g711ulaw" to the voip dial peer pointing at Callmanager. For outbound calls to use the FXO, you will need a route patter(s) in CCM as well as a dial peer(s) on the gateway, such as:

dial-peer voice 1 pots

destination-pattern 9T

port 0/0/0

Hope this helps. Please post your voice gateway config if you need further help.
