Unity 4.2 with PIMG on Nortel M1:
I want to troubleshoot some integration problems regarding the incoming display on the PIMG ports. Any specific logs helpful on this? Are there integration level logs on the PIMG?
thanks,
Scott

You can open up Hyperterminal on windows, telnet to the pimg and type in
Hyperterm via tcpip to the PIMG ip address
From the hyperterm menu, select Transfer > Capture Text
Enter the path\filename where to save it
Click start
hit enter a couple times in the hyperterm console
In the console, type "pwd", then Enter
In the console, type the password, then Enter
In the console, type "trace all off", then Enter
In the console, type "trace voip all on", then Enter
In the console, type "trace tel all on", then Enter
In the console, type "exit", then Enter **only hit Enter once, do not hit it again or it will end the trace**
Place your test calls
From the hyperterm menu, select Transfer > Stop
In the console, hit Enter to stop the trace
These will be raw logs from the PIMG.
What kind of problem are you having?

With newer PIMG firmware you can set and gather traces through the web admin. See the Diagnostics chapter of the User's Guide for more detail...

Thanks, I tried both methods - works ok. "trace tel events on" is good for watching the incoming call display. This needed to be done due to some phones having more than 23 characters in the name field which results in failure of integration. As soon as you shorten the name they work

Even if their characters are less than 23, I have had issues with PIMGs not pharses the name correctly. such as Robert Ward, would not work, but if changed it to R Ward on the PBX, then the PIMG would hand the call to Unity correctly. Go figure.
Glad you found your issue

The issue with names ending in "T" is a known bug in some of PIMG's default parsing rules. See CSCsg01356 for more info.
