I am just beginning to experiment with the UC phone proxy. I have two pairs of ASAs.
1) pair one is in the path of the 0.0.0.0 route for the entire network
2) pair two is bascially a remote access and L2L VPN "appliance" where the outside interface is exposed to the internet, it can see all of the inside networks, but it it not in the path of the default network.
I prefer to set this up on the second pair of ASAs.
I'm thinking that I can because this feature is a "proxy". But if the Call Managers need to see the actual IP Phone's public IP address endpoint, I'd have to choose pair one.
