Is there any rational justification whatsoever to separate UCCX and CUCM servers from each other by placing them in different vlans? I know that vlans alone do not provide for security but there's some contention that UCCX could be compromised via PCA and then use the UCCX as some kind jumpbox to get to the CUCM. That's a stretch for me but that's the theory being advanced because such risks are mitigated if you've got your basic securiy mechanisms in place like access rules and proper firewall placement with the right configurations. I'm yet to come across any such thing or vulnerability in my research and would appreciate any insights into this from the experts. I've just begun dabbling in UC so this is 'green' territory. Thx.
