Solved: UCCX backups failing

Hi All

My backups on UCCX are failing.

The service Cisco LDAP Monitor service is in shutdown mode.

Does anyone know if this service should be running.

I did not know it needed to be running.

Hi,

Please mention the UCCX version when seeking assistance from support community. As the backup is failing at the LDAP component so it points to the following bug

Symptom:DRF Backup fails
Conditions:Server fails to stop the LDAP service

Workaround:Disabled SElinux
utils os secure permissive

You can try the workaround mentioned above if your UCCX version is affected by the same.

Hi.

Yes it should be up and during a backup.

If you see it stopped during a backup, it is a normal behaviour

I am not sure.

I am running version 9.0.1 and the LDAP service is not running since we don't use LDAP.

Hi Carlo,

The service is definately not running.

not sure it was ever running.

It is stopped at the moment.

My system is not really configured for LDAP anyway.

We have manually configured users that are imported into uccx from cucm.

Good Day Manish,

thank you for answering my query.

I am running version 9.0.1 UCCX.

My trouble seems to be that the service itself is not running to begin with.

I was not sure if I should start the service or not.

If the UCCX version is 9.0.1, i would suggest trying the workaround as mentioned in the bug as it is know to affect 9.0.2 version as well. If the issue persists please engage TAC.

Try starting Cisco Desktop LDAP Monitor service and check if u are able to take backup.
