Unified messaging 4.0(5) with failover currently connected to Exchange 5.5. A new Exchange 2003 server has been added. User mailboxes will be migrated to 2003 after Unity is configured to work with the new partner server for 2003 or 5.5.
The ugrade procedure goes OK up to the Message Store Configuration Wizard. The "Select Mailbox Location" screen shows the correct 2003 partner server and mailbox store, but that's where the wizard hangs, and aborts with no error message. Here is the last entry in the tempu.log file:
2006-02-25T00:50:31 - Selected mailbox store: CN=Mailbox Store (SVRXX),CN=First Storage Group,CN=InformationStore,CN=SVRXX,CN=Servers,CN=AKUSANT,CN=Administrative Groups,CN=ALASKAUSAFCU,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=alaskausa,DC=org (e:\Views\cs_CU4.0.4.221\un_Doh2\UnityConfig\Setup\Ex2kSelectExchange.cpp 223) Note:XX replaces real server name.
A Sniffer shows a LDAP port 389 connection to a domain controller, but the Unity server never trys to connect to the Exchange server. There is a DNS lookup for name sqlbuilds which is not found.
The schema has been modified with Unity attributes.
I do have a TAC case open, but thought I would try for a quick NetPro fix.
