UN connection 9.1 sending message

hello,

 

we have a unity connection  9.1, and i have below question

when  i am sending message to another user it ask me to spell the last name and the first name or the distribution list, when i spell the last name and first name still it doesn't recognize, do i have to enable anywhere in UN connection for recognition of users through voice??

when i added the users i removed the tick for skip pin when it is from the know extension, so when can be situation that the user is not from a know extension.

Are the users that you are looking up in Unity Connection configured with Subscriber accounts on the system?  When you do a lookup via a handler, it is searching the local subscriber database.

The "skip PIN when calling..." is unrelated.  That's a setting for if a user calls in to check their own VM, the default behavior is they are required to enter a PIN.  If you uncheck that option then it will look at the redirected number to see if it is the primary extension or an alternate extension for that user's mailbox.  If so, they will not have to enter their PIN and go directly into their mailbox instead.

No, as very new to unity connection what i have done is i have all users pulled by AD from UN PUB, when i press the message button from the users phone it ask me to send a message after recording the message it prompts me " spell last name or first name to whom you send the message" after spelling the name it still keeps on prompting

 

so without a PIN my colleagues can press the message button on my phone in my absence and he can hear every message.

 

Also from the previous repy learned new thing how we can load balance 50/50 the user request on pub and sub

What you describe sounds

What you describe sounds quite odd ... so you are pressing the MESSAGES button on an IP phone and then hearing the conversation to record a message? You will need to take a look at your Direct/Forwarded routing rules and ensure that you are set to go to the SignIn conversation and that no other rules are misconfigured in higher priority to the default. If you are new to CUC, it may be in your best interest to open a quick TAC case.

Dear David,

May be explanation is not clear let first speak abt the sending message without PIN verification

whenever i try to send a message by phone,after recording the message it ask me to send a message "spell the last & first name " when i spell the last & first name the system is not recognizing the words what i pronounce and it keeps me prompting to spell first & last name again and again,

so i doubt that for recognizing my pronouncesation is it i have to enable something is the UN BOX.
