Unified Messaging - Outlook Client Problems playing Voicemail Messages


We are seeing an issue for certain users where by mail messages are delivered to outlook yet when the user tries to 'double-click- the message to open the file, it won't open. They can however, right click on the message, choose view attachment, and the message is played ok. We've seen previous posts reporting the same symptoms. We are seeing different users on the same exchange server having no problems at all.

We have installed VMO onto the users machine who saw the problem and it acted as a good work around. However, we would like to understand if we can alter the clients outlook settings to rectify the issue.

We are also seeing that once the message is opened that the symbol is not changing to mark them read. Seeing as they are just wav files we're hoping that the fix to the first issue will go hand in hand with our second symptom.
