Unified Unity.

I have existing Unity with its AD & exchange.

I want to install new Unity & Configure the ports on the current CallManager...> Keeping th current Unity.

After ensuring everything is running fine i will backup the message store from the old unity and restore them to the new one.

Questions :

1) is it a problem to configure the CallManager to have ports to two different Unities?????

2) is the message store backup/restore process valid in what?

1. No. definitely not a problem. This will definitely work and is supported.

2. i dont understand what you mean to ask here, but you can backup and restore only on to the same version. So if backing up 4.05 on one server, you can restore it to a new server as long that server is also on Unity 4.05.

Q1: I mean two different instances (4.0 & 4.2) version

Q2: Backup & restore from v4.0 --> 4.2
