Unity 4.0(3) and Exchang 2000

I have two server in my company.One server installs win 2003 with Active directory as domain server.One server installs Exchange 2000.Now I want to install the Cisco Untiy 4.0(3).I find something in the cisco document. If I want to use united message,I must install a simple server without Exchange 2000. If I install Unity 4.0 combined with exchange 2000 in one server,I could only use voice message.

Is it true? I have no server for Unity and want to use unified message.

First things first. Unified messaging and voicemail only messaging are two different type of licensing.

If you are going to do unified messaging, then you cannot install exchange and unity on the same box.

If you are going to do voicemail only, unity and exchange can be on the same server, BUT the exchange server cannot process emails.
