Unity 4.04 stops answering calls and needs reboot

Hi,

I have had 2 seperate clients on 4.0(4) installs who have been up for awhile without issues have issues within days where unity is started but is not answering calls.

One was on 4.0(4) without any patches/SRs, and the other on 4.0(4) SR1 with some ES's.

The common thing in the event logs before the problems started on both was IMAP4SVC and POP3 errors about unexpected error condition. Looking at the MS article on these it appears as they should not be system-effecting since they are due to SSL connections attempted to be made.

Both of these are VM-only installs.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen a similar thing.

Had another unity server stop earlier today after these POP3/IMAP4 errors in event log happened.

Update on this. This appears to happen when Cisco MARS is in the network and probing/scanning the unity server. No MARS applications are installed on the unity server.

Anyone see similar if they have Cisco MARS in network attempting to connect/probe/scan to unity?

Unity CSA does not prevent this, one of clients has CSA installed and CSA had event log entry about attempted connection but still had the 2 errors and stopped answering calls.

If they have CSA installed on the Cisco Unity Server, they will see this in event logs to. One of the customers did not have CSA installed so just got the 2 errors above.

The CSA event log entry is below, note it saids operation is denied.
