Unity 4.05 and offbox Exchange freezes up occassionly
Has anyone had issue with Unity 4.05 and offbox exchange where it works fine for a few days and once a week or so unity loses connection to exchange? Rebooting exchange server fixes issue, and at time of problem the exchange server is unresponsive and can't remote desktop into it and is very slow to respond locally on the server also. These problems only started to occur after upgrading unity from 4.03 to 4.05. Did not happen before w/4.03. No changes to exchange server.
Exchange is 2003 SP1, on a Windows 2003 server (no SP1).
When the issue happens, we get following in unity event log. There are more AvWM entries in log to during this time.
We have checked bug id CSCsb43902 regarding disabling second NICs, modems, and that has been checked.

Re: Unity 4.05 and offbox Exchange freezes up occassionly
Does this happen at a particular time, such as MWI resynchronization on the Unity server or some other event on the Exchange server (like backups?). I would check the event (all) logs on the Exchange server for the timeframe you have seeing the problem. Version 4.0(5) introduced broadcast messaging with a new userid and connector - listed in the bottom lines of your post. We have a slightly different environment, Unity/Exchange both running Windows 2003 SP1 and have not seen these types of messages. We have not implemented broadcast messaging. Our Unity servers are in the same subnets as their partner Exchange servers, this cleared up similar types of messages that occurred several versions ago. Our NICs are using teaming in adaptive/fault tolerant mode only.
The short answer is that you don't.... That isn't entirely true while at
the same time it kind of is, but for the most part you don't configure
the softkeys. You enable or disable them via TCL. Here is the long
answer. Be sure to read the whole thing or e...
