Unity 4.05 to Unity 4.2 migration on new server

Hi All,

I am helping a customer migrate a Unified Unity 4.05 to a new server running 4.2

Any suggestions on the best path for the migration? would the DiRT tool work?

Or do i just need to remove the users in the 4.05 and then import them into the 4.2 box the do the call handlers?

Just looking for the best way to tackle this

thanks

Re: Unity 4.05 to Unity 4.2 migration on new server

Take a look at the following sections of the link below:

Upgrading Cisco Unity 4.x Software to the Shipping Version

Replacing or Converting a Cisco Unity Server or Failover Servers

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity/42/upgrade/guide/ex/ru_130.html

If possible, I would recommend upgrading the current server to 4.2 and then replacing the hardware. This allows for a more pristine environment on the new server.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

Brandon
