Are there any mechanisms for autopopulating the servername in Viewmail as well as providing the URL to the users ciscopca page? customer has several unity servers globally and wants to be able to provide this functionality for day 1 users so they do not need to be aware of what servers they are on. Im not looking to add more hardware, and looking for a script or bat file of some sort..Thanks.

You would need to find someone that works with AD and Scripts. A login script based on location or what container they belong to would kick off a script that would update the server name in the Outlook viewmail properties. (or even a regedit) If it is as simply as a regedit, it could be pushed out through policies.

The other option is that a simply email to each of the regions on how to update their ViewMail server name. We have also done this, instead of changing the ViewMail server names, we created a new DNS pointer for the old server to the new server.

If they were on Unity01 and in viewmail it said Unity01, we would create a new DNS record for Unity01 and point it to the new Unity02 server. If ViewMail asks DNS for Unity01, it would point it to Unity02. Same goes for the URL. This would happen until the machines could be updated, etc.

A link to the CPCA can be included in the "Text for Unity Inbox" notification. You specify the url in the Cisco Unity SA under System --> Configuration --> Settings

I believe that only works if the users are using Cisco Unity Inbox, which these users are not. They are only licensesed for Unity assistant. Thanks.

In the Viewmail for Outlook 5.0(2) release notes there is a section titled "Customizing the ViewMail Software Before Installing It on Subscriber Workstations", while the topic does not speciffically cover specifying the server name for Viewmail, you can see in the example that you can specify a server name in the modified setup. You might give that a try. If this works out, you can direct users in diffrent locations to a custom .msi that sets their server name.
