Unity 4.x Adding a Failover Server - License Part Numbers?
I'm trying to get a clear answer after reading several post about this topic. We basically have a Unity server running 4.0(5) that does not have failover license. Our current license is for 2780 UM users and 72 ports for a 7845 MCS server with dual processors. My question is the following:
What are the necessary part numbers to purchase license for Failover over for my current Unity 4.0(5) server with 2780 UM user license and 72 ports?
I have read on several threads you need to purchase a UNITYUM-FOVR-USR
License for each user.
Per user for Unified Messaging Failover $36
I have also read that the UNITYUM-FOVR-USR license is now rolled into the UNITY-FOSVR-33-96 License. You can clearly see how much this part number cost, which brings me to another question. What is this really? This is three times the cost of the purchasing the UNITYUM-FOVR-USR license for each user.
Unity Failover Server-33-96 Ports $31,500
And then there is this part number:
Cisco Unity Data Store 33-72 sessions - Per Processor $1,500

The short answer is that you don't.... That isn't entirely true while at
the same time it kind of is, but for the most part you don't configure
the softkeys. You enable or disable them via TCL. Here is the long
answer. Be sure to read the whole thing or e...
