Unity DiRT Restore can only restore to the same version it was backed up from - sorry. So if you want to move to a new server, install Unity 4.x in demo license mode and get that tested first. You can test with a couple of subscribers and two ports. Then DiRT backup the current production box and restore to the new server (disconnecting the current server from the network in the process). Once you get Unity 4.x moved successfully (don't forget to get your licenses changed to the new MAC as well as order the 5.X upgrade license using Product Upgrade Tool), you can upgrade the server. If you were by any chance considering having two Unity servers - another way to handle this might be to install the 5.X server and digitally network your two servers together (same AD forest and same domain). Then you can move your subscribers using GSM utility. This is definitely more work.
