Unity 5.0 SIP and g711alaw

When integrating via SCCP, the CM-TSP did not support G.711alaw. From what i can gather, the SIP trunks do not require a TSP. Does this mean we can terminate G.711alaw to Unity without an MTP?

Has anyone tested this?

Unity uses the same RTP wave driver for both SCCP and SIP. That's where the codec support will come from and currently only G.711ulaw and G.729 are available. I'm not aware of any plans on the roadmap for adding alaw. If it ever does happen though, you'll get it for both SCCP and SIP at the same time.
