Unity 5.x Default language setting has changed

We have users setup on Unity 5.x for English UK and were working fine until we had to reboot the system(various languages loaded).

Now however we hear the default subscriber greeting in DEU - where is that prompt being played from ? (subscriber does not have their own greeting in there so the system one is being played but this must be in UK english not DEU)...cheers, Jag

Re: Unity 5.x Default language setting has changed

you can check a few places:

1) for individual subscribers, check (Subscriber > Conversation > Language)

2) for new subscribers (moving forward), check (Subscriber Template > Conversation > Language)

for the system as a whole, check (System > Configuration > Phone Languages)

-and- (System > Configuration > GUI Languages)

Hope this helps.

Re: Unity 5.x Default language setting has changed

yes checked all those settings before and they were correct.

Application log shows phrase errors and conv errors, event code 10030. Looks like that prompt or default subscriber standard greeting is missing(the subscriber does not have their own recorded standard greeting).

Re: Unity 5.x Default language setting has changed

if the subscriber's greeting is missing, wouldn't the standard greeting be in the language of that subscriber? Try setting the subscriber's greeting to blank. Save this and then set it back to system. The message should be back to the proper language. If you left it as blank, the system should say: "Sorry, ____ is not available" (pausing momentarily as indication that the name was not recorded.

its not missing - they just have not recorded one so they have the system one playing - 'sorry ext xxyy is not available etc'. I would expect this to be in English UK as all the configuration points to UK English however the above is being played in Danish (it was correct before the reboot???)

To see where the prompt is coming from, enable all Micro traces for "PhraseServer to Monitor). Then use the Port Status Monitor from the Tools Depot to view the call, it should show the .wav files its playing during the conversation. That may help at least show you if there is a .wav file recorded in the wrong language being played.
