Re: Unity 5.X

This is supported...

Licensing for Mixed Voice Messaging/Unified Messaging (for Cisco Unity Version 4.2 with Microsoft Exchange)

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps2237/products_white_paper09186a0080623fa8.shtml.

Note the document makes refrence to the following stipulation which I believe has sence been lifted:

Note Mixed licensing is supported only for deployments of Cisco Unity 4.2 with more than 1500 users, as of March 2006.

Re: Unity 5.X

thank you for your reply

we want to deploy unity 5 actually, the same rule applies for mixed licensing in unity 5?

Do we need to have more thatn 1500 users deployed in Unity 5 to be able to mix licenses and have the server supported by TAC?

Re: Unity 5.X

I found this link

Licensing for Mixed Voice Messaging/Unified Messaging (Cisco Unity Versions 4.2 and 5.x)

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity/white/paper/cuumvme.html

this document does not have the note related to the 1500 users, can I assume that Unity 5.x will support mix licensing no matter how many users are you willing to deploy?

Re: Unity 5.X

Is there a way to configure failover in this hybrid environment?

The Cisco documentation that I've found so far explains it but its either UM or VM not both

thank you
