Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to rip a voicemail message thats been left onto the PC.
We need the message for evidence so ideally it needs to be put onto some sort of usb so it can be played on a laptop.
I understand greetings can be ripped and recorded from PC so I was hopeful this could be done?
Sorry if I haven't explained myself very well!
Thanks in advance

Hi Connor,
If I understand your question correctly (I'm pretty slow ) you could use the Inbox via > PCA
to save the message off as a .wav file.

Cheers!

That's exactly what i'm looking for!
thankyou!
Do you know how we can setup accounts for people to login?
are there any default credentials?
Sorry, not overly familiar with unity!
Thanks again,
Connor

Hi Connor,
You are most welcome my friend!
Can you please confirm if this is Unity or Unity Connection?
Cheers!

Hi Connor,
Let's just look at setting this up to access the message you want
to save off for "legal" purposes at this point.
In our example the user is Bob Uncle>alias is buncle
Go to the user buncle and find the associated COS then go to that COS
and check for "allow users to use Cisco Unity Inbox" & "allow users to use
the Cisco Unity Assistant"
;
Once you've allowed buncle that access you can go back to his mailbox
and edit the "set password" using the web Application drop down.
Access PCA via;
In the Unity Inbox find the message you are looking for> click on it> and use the Media Master>Options>
Save as (to save off the message to a .wav)
Cheers!

as a side note, there's an easier way to do this for any mailbox on your system leveraging the "mailbox delegate access" role - the Message ARchiver tool is designed to allow admins with this role to pull off any message they like from any mailbox and archive it locally - was very commonly requested so we built around that:
http://www.ciscounitytools.com/Applications/CxN/MessageArchiver/MessageArchiver.html
Either way works but if it's something you need to do often or for many different mailboxes it's a lot eaiser to go that route.

Thanks Jeff,
As always, you build the proper tools to support these
systems! I can't say enough how much the suite of Unity Tools has helped me
over the years & here's another great one! I'll have to give it a try.
Cheers!
