Unity 7 Subscriber/Handler Management

We are currently running version 4 of Unity and are planning to upgrade to version 7. One problem we have had is there is no easy way to delegate control (that I know of) of subscribers/handlers to certain users. Lets say I have 12 sites, each with an administrator that does the AMC of their own users (AD Accounts, Phones, voicemail, etc..). Is there a way in Unity 7 to say, the Administrator of site 1 can add, change and delete mailboxes/handlers from a certain subset of subscribers/handlers (that are somehow in a Location 1 pool) but can not touch anything of site/location 2, 3, 4, etc...? A requirement would also be that the Admins from the Central Office be able to manage any of the sites/locations.

Thanks for any information.

Matt,

I don't believe Unity can accomplish the granularity that you're looking for. You can modify the default Administrator Class of Service or create your own new CoS and configure under "System Access" the options that you want the user(s) to be able to access. However, this doesn't allow you to pick out which specific call handlers, users, etc. that they will have access to. It's more of an all or nothing type deal. You either grant access to be able to modify PDL's, Call Handlers, Routing Rules, etc. or you restrict access.

As far as having users able to modify call handler greetings, you can use the Greetings Administrator, but it sounds like you want more than just the ability for a user to change the greeting via the phone.

Re: Unity 7 Subscriber/Handler Management

Thanks for the fast reply. I figured that would be the case, but I had to ask. You are correct that I want more than just a user to be able to be able to change the recording. I want John from Site 1 to be able to modify certain call handlers and subscribers (anything in Site 1), but Sally from Site 2 should not be able to touch any of the Site 1 things. However Sally should be able to Add, change, etc anything from Site 2. Etc, Etc...
