Unity and CMR Jitter Stats

Unity 4.05 - I see a lot of jitter (60ms+)in my CMR records when calls are connected to Unity. I posted this question a while back on the IP Telephony Forum and recieved a response that this was common for calls connecting to Unity. I am curious why would that be. Call quality seems to be ok.
